My journey in gospel music began many years ago. When I was a little girl, I would sit and watch gospel music videos for hours. I dreamed of one day singing on the same stage, singing my heart out for Jesus. So I began to sing with my mother and my younger sister in the church choir. That was my absolute favorite part of Sunday mornings. When my sister and I got older, we learned our first duet, He’s Still Workin’ On Me. Soon after, when I was just seven years old, I accepted Jesus into my heart and made him my Savior. Subsequently, I developed a burden for lost souls and wanted to lead as many as I could to Christ.

When I was just nine years old, my two cousins, my sister, and I decided we wanted to start a gospel group. We called ourselves the SonShines, and we traveled all over the southeastern United States spreading the word through song. It was a very fulfilling experience that lasted for eight years. Sadly, our group split up after my older cousin started college and moved out of state, but I still had a very strong desire to continue in the ministry. So, with the help of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, my dad, and the support of many friends and family, I began to travel and sing on my own.

Since then, my ministry has begun to grow rapidly. God recently blessed me with the opportunity to record my first solo cd, The Truth, The Light and The Way, at Chapel Valley Studio. I hope and pray this cd will touch the lives of many people, mend broken hearts, and lead lost souls to Christ. I also pray that this project will help my ministry continue to grow.
